Vidyaniketan College is run by the fathers of the congregation of Velapoly. It is recognized under the UGC Organization and affliated to Mahatma Gandhi University. It is founded in 1977 by . Being a part of the Archdiocese of Verapoly, Vidyaniketan is under the direct supervision of Archbishop Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Kalathiparambil, in this endeavor, he is assisted by Rev. Fr. Jacob Baiju Ben ( Director) who has a living interest and great zeal for serving the cause of education with a lot of commitment and dedication. Under the Archdiocese of Verapoly, the Vidyaniketan College is having a rich experience in the field of education for the past many years.
It has a glorious history of over 46 years to its credit. Started as a small tuition centre in 1977, here we grew in years and now we are counted among the top educational institutions in Kochi not only in terms of academics but for its contribution towards producing global citizens. Currently over 12000 children study in various classes of the college starting from plus one, plus two, graduation and post-graduation. Apart from excellent academic support, the student also have access to world class facilities and faculty for sports and cultural activities. The management ensures that the institution not only imparts knowledge but sees to the spiritual, moral & physical well-being of their pupils.
